Brand new shiny CNC machine!

We got a new Bridgeport EZ Vision 2-axis CNC milling machine at work! I am so excited to start churning out parts on this bad boy! I have always wanted to get into CAD/CAM and now I can finally do it. With this machine and my newfound skills at parametric modeling with Alibre Design, I will be able to create nearly any custom part for the scientists in my division. ~

Well, another anniversary of sorts is today, Dec. 7. Yes, it is Pearl Harbor day, but it has also been 18 years since I started working for a mad scientist at NIST. Not quite a day that will live in infamy… but it is a day;-)~
